LOGO PROJECT
The purpose of this project is to design your very own personal logo! Step #1: Use the graph paper *thoughtfully* supplied by your MOST gracious (and humble!) instructor to design your logo that, for some particular reason, resonates with you. The last time I did this project a few folks did their first or last initial. That's kinda basic and you are free to do that but it doesn't exactly tax your imagination OR your abilities so I don't recommend doing that unless your comfy with a grade that is 'good enough' (7/10 or so) To wit: This assignment is designed to test your understanding of how bits are used to both define AND create an image. 1) Your logo should show creativity/imagination and above all attention to detail. That is by way of saying the easier you make your logo to construct using straight lines and such the more basic your grade (see above). I am not at all a fan of doing work that is 'good enough'. 2) Design your logo on graph paper using color pencils and then show it to me and we'll discuss the particulars. Be sure to include a written paragraph (or so) on why you designed the logo the way you did. 3) Adapt your design *precisely* to a digital image using the Widget provided by our good friends at Code.Org. Personally I find using hex a WHOLE lot easier than using binary but it is up to you on how to proceed. 4) Best projects will:
I hope it goes without saying but if google your logo (I do that by the way), and I find your log somewheres on the web that you have copied and pasted, I WILL contact your folks and ask them to come in and we'll have a rough (for you, not for me) conversation about plagiarism.
There are a number of online color palettes/Hex color generators. You are free to use any of those to assist you in matching colors. |
